IN THE END: tell the jokes you want to tell. But know that it makes you a better comic to have to either ignore criticism or defend yourself. This is the rest of all of our careers: success balanced with ignoring criticism or self-defense.

Cameron gets it. You can say/do whatever the hell you want onstage – but if you can’t handle what people are going to say/do in turn, you probably shouldn’t be saying/doing those things in the first place.

This is true of life in general.

Flashlight apps for the iPhone are typically unremarkable at best or ugly as sin at worst. Not so with Light. It launches quickly and looks great. And though it is ad-supported by default, the ads aren’t obnoxious. (No demands to buy the latest fart app here.)

But I don’t like looking at ads. Thankfully, Light has an option to make a one-time purchase to disable them. Even cooler: you get to pick your price. There’s no difference between the three options; it’s just a matter of what you’re willing/able to pay. That’s something I haven’t seen before in any app.

Thumbs up to developer Jason Ting. It’s hard to take something as unremarkable (and typically ugly) as a flashlight app and make it classy – and even kind of fun to use! This dude gets it.
