Give compliments.

When possible, give SPECIFIC compliments. Not simply “You look so pretty!” or “You’re so smart!”

Dig in.

Use carefully - selected adjectives. Give examples. Tell what particular aspect of the person you admire at that moment.

Those are the compliments that are going to stick. Those are things people remember.
